The President of Ain Shams University witnesses the official opening of the Faculty of Media

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, inaugurated the headquarters of the Faculty of Media on the main campus of the university, in the presence of Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Heba Shaheen, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Information at the University, Prof. Dina Farouk Abu Zaid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Media for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Salwa Suleiman, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Media for Education and Student Affairs, and in the presence of Prof. Sami Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Media Studies Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities, Prof. Hussein Essa, former president of Ain Shams University and head of the Plan and Budget Committee in the former House of Representatives, and a group of university leaders, including the deans: Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Prof. Khaled Kadri, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Prof. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Ahmed Khafagi, supervisor of the establishment of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Prof. Yasser Megahid, head of the Engineering Consulting Center at the university, and Dr. Nasr Eid, Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Prof.. Islam Hegazi, Executive Director of the Networking and Information Technology Center, and the members of the faculty staff and the teaching assistants.

During his speech, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, congratulated the faculty staff and the teaching assistants of the newly created faculty, which was born strong with its material and human capabilities and what it aspires to achieve to serve a wide geographical scope, hoping that the college will consolidate its position in Egypt and the Arab world.

His Excellency thanked everyone who contributed efforts for the emergence of this faculty into the light, and particularly thanked Prof. Mohamed Salehin, Professor of the Faculty of Engineering and the architectural designer of the faculty building, and Prof. Hesham Tamraz, former vice president for community service and environmental development, the university's engineering consultancy office and the companies executing the project.

Prof. Heba Shaheen thanked the university president and the deputies for their support and support for the emergence of the Faculty of Mass Communication, pointing out that the college's program regulations serve the requirements of the labor market in light of a digital age in which changes are accelerating. She thanked the professors of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Muhammad Salehin, a professor at the Department of Architectural Design, Faculty of Engineering, and the Engineering Consultation Center at the university, headed by Prof. Yasser Megahed for their great efforts in designing the college and supervising its implementation.

The opening ceremony included the screening of an introductory film about the faculty and its majors and departments, including: news journalism, media production and marketing communications.
