Vice President for Education and Students discusses prospects for scientific and technological cooperation with a high-ranking delegation from the Chinese Guangdong University of Technology

Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, received a high-level delegation from Guangdong University of Technology headed by Prof. Dr. Chen Liangyu, Vice President of Guangdong University of Technology and Prof. Dr. Khan Guo Jun, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences and Prof. Dr. Antai Cheng, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering, Mr. Yong Chan, Director of the University President's Office, and Mr. Cao Feng, Director of the Department of International Relations.

Prof. Nasser Abdel-Aal, Vice Dean of Faculty of Al-Alsun for Education and Student Affairs and Director of the Confucius Center, witnessed the meeting.

The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation between Ain Shams University and Guangdong University of Technology in the areas of joint research projects and the exchange of professors and students in engineering and environmental disciplines, information technology, artificial intelligence and other scientific and technological disciplines in the engineering field at the two universities. The two sides also discussed the possibility of implementing joint projects in environmental research in light of the recommendations of the Cop 27 Climate Conference held in Sharm El-Sheikh in November of last year.

The visiting delegation visited the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, during which it was received by Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at the university, discussed the establishment of the Guangdong University laboratory in the field of artificial intelligence to train and qualify students at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University, and discussed the possibility of granting joint degrees from Ain Shams University and Guangdong University to students of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, the exchange of visiting professors and the participation of students of the Faculty of Computing In training camps in the field of modern technology in the specialty.
