Ain Shams University competes with three candidates for the L'Oréal UNESCO International Awards for Women in Science 2024

After closing the door for nominations for the L'Oréal-UNESCO International Awards for Women in Science 2024, on June 28, 2023, https://www.forwomeninscience.com, the University Awards Office of the Graduate Studies Sector announced that the university is competing for this year for this award 2024 L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Awards.

The nomination comes with three candidates who have fulfilled all their data for the award on the university’s database for awards in its various fields, all requirements for nomination and follow-up with the Awards Office in all procedures and steps.

All forms of technical support were provided to them through the Awards Office and all the auxiliary work team until obtaining the letters of candidacy approved by the President of the University and submitting all requirements on the award website.

There were 3 female candidates from the Faculty of Girls, with excellent follow-up and efforts from the Faculty administration with the Awards Office.

It is worth noting that the UNESCO International Awards for Women in Science is an opportunity to highlight the amazing achievements made by women in the field of science through nomination for these awards.

The participation of women in applying for UNESCO awards contributes to enhancing diversity and inclusion in the scientific community, as women represent great talents and capabilities in the field of science, and they deserve to be recognized and appreciated, just as honoring creative women in science enhances gender diversity and contributes to the progress and prosperity of the science community. Represent women in science and motivate them to pursue pioneering work in their fields.

This comes within the encouragement and support given by the university in the field of awards from Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, and Prof. Mohamed Ayman Salih, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, for the great capabilities and achievements of the university’s women scholars, due to the importance of this field in achieving leadership and excellence for the university.
