The Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Students meets with the President of the Spanish Pablo de Olabide University

As part of Ain Shams University's endeavor to enhance research and academic cooperation between the university and foreign universities, Prof. Abdel-Fattah Mohamed Fathi Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, met with Mr. Francisco Oliva, President of the Spanish Pablo de Olabide University, and the accompanying delegation to discuss ways of cooperation between Ain Shams University and Pablo de Olabide University in a number of fields and to strengthen relations with Ain Shams University.

And in the presence of Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of International Students and Mobility Office at the University, Prof. Muhammad Al-Saghir, Head of the Spanish Language Department, Dr. Yemeni Azmy, Director of the Faculty’s International Cooperation Office, Dr. Hala Awad, Professor of the Spanish Language Department, Dr. Saad Mohamed Saad, Professor at Pablo de Olabidi University and Head of the Arabic Studies Division.

Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saud welcomed the President of Pablo de Olabidi University and the delegation accompanying him, presenting a brief summary of the history of the Zaffran Palace and the Zaffran Museum and what contains rare antiquities and manuscripts.

His Excellency praised the depth of the Egyptian-Spanish relations, stressing the importance of the scientific and cultural role played by Ain Shams University in general and the Faculty of Al-Alsun in particular in the field of spreading the Spanish language and culture and working to graduate distinguished students in the field of language, literature, and translation to the labor market.

His Excellency touched on the fact that Ain Shams University has obtained five stars in the QS classification since 2021, in addition to the presence of Ain Shams University in a large number of international rankings, which Ain Shams University places it on top of its priorities to ensure a strong educational and academic level at the level of international universities, this is what the university aspires to by increasing the number of joint programs offered by Ain Shams University with other countries, such as the programs of the Faculties of Law and Business in French.

Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud confirmed that Ain Shams University has a great social responsibility, as more than a quarter of a million students and ten thousand foreign students belong to it, in addition to Ain Shams University hospitals, which serve a very large segment of citizens and receive large numbers of patients.

The President of Pablo de Olabidi University expressed his great pleasure at visiting Ain Shams University, its prestigious position globally, its great scientific value, its distinguished contributions in the field of scientific research at the international level, and its advanced levels of study that meet the needs of the labor market, whether local or international, making it a unique university among Egyptian and foreign universities.

Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr. Francisco Oliva, President of Pablo de Olabide University, signed the Erasmus Agreement for visiting professors and student exchanges.

At the end of the visit, Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, presented the book Zaffran Palace to the President of Pablo de Olabidi University, inviting him to visit the Zaffran Palace Museum.
