Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Students meets the Chinese delegation of Fudan University

Prof. Abdel Fattah Mohamed Fathi Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Affairs and Environmental Development, met Mr. "Zhimin Chen", Vice President of the Fudan University of China, and the delegation accompanying him to discuss ways of cooperation between Ain Shams University and Fudan University in a number of fields, support relations between the two sides, achieve mutual benefit in scientific, research and professional goals, and support exchange in the field of human resources and specializations and work to achieve goals on the basis of mutual benefit in addition to enhancing cooperation and exchange in various fields, in the presence of Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Collaboration Sector, Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of International Students and Mobility Office at the university.

Also, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud visited the Chinese Fudan University delegation to Ain Shams University, referring to the beginning of cooperation between Ain Shams University and Fudan University, which began in 2017 between Fudan University and the Institute of Papyri, which is now part of the Faculty of Archeology, a joint restoration of a number of manuscripts was carried out, and then it extended to cooperation between Fudan University and the Faculty of Medicine in 2018 with an Egyptian Center for Medical Research, as well as cooperation in the fields of liver surgeries, organ transplantation and nurse training at Fudan University, which are projects that began before the Covid 19 pandemic, hoping that this visit will achieve More cooperation with a number of university faculties, not just the Faculty of Medicine.

The head of the Fudan University delegation expressed his happiness with his presence in Ain Shams University, noting that it was not his first visit to the university, as he attended the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Oncology Research Center at Ain Shams University Hospitals and the Oncology Center of Fudan University.

Then Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud accompanied the delegation on a visit to the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center I HUB, to present a number of proposed projects for cooperation between Ain Shams University and Fudan University. The delegation met with a number of professors and specialists from different faculties to discuss future areas of cooperation between Ain Shams University and Fudan University. It was agreed to prepare a memorandum of understanding between the two universities that includes cooperation in all activities after it was only limited to the medical and nursing fields.

This came in the presence of Prof. Tariq Youssef, Executive Director of University Hospitals, Prof. Sahar Moussa, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Yassin El-Shazly, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Muhammad Al-Buhairi, Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Weam Mahmoud, Deputy Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Tamer Emara, Director of the International Relations Department at the Faculty of Medicine.
