Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University and Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Cairo, Ambassador Liao Liqiang, witnessed the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding for four visiting professors from the People's Republic of China to teach at the Faculty of Medicine and Ain Shams University Hospitals.
Where Prof. Ali Al-Anwar signed the memorandum of understanding with Prof. Liu Yun, Director of Jiangsu Hospital, Dr. Xu Zakuan, Director and Chief Physician of the Department of General Surgery, Dr. Li Xiangchun, Deputy Director of the Liver Center and Dr. Liu Lee, director of the Department of Endoscopy and Gastroenterology.
The signing comes with the aim of expanding the base of scientific and research exchange between the two sides and exchanging experiences in the fields of surgery and oncology treatment, as the two sides have extensive scientific and medical expertise that contribute to the development of the health care system and provide the highest degree of efficiency in a way that benefits the health of citizens and helps in developing and raising the efficiency of students studying in Undergraduate education in medical schools and postgraduate studies.
The signing was attended by the Egyptian side: Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Collaboration Sector, Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, Prof. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of University Hospitals, Prof. Muhammad Bahaa, Professor of Surgery and Liver Transplantation, Prof. Mohamed Fathi Abdel Ghaffar, Professor of liver surgery and transplantation, Prof. Aya Yassa, Professor of radiology, Prof. Nasser Abdel-Aal, Director of the Confucius Institute at Ain Shams University, Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of International Students and Mobility Office at Ain Shams University, Prof. Tamer Emara, Director of the International Cooperation Office at the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Sheren Fawaz, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Office at the Faculty of Medicine, and Dr. Mohamed El-Mohamady, a teacher of gastroenterology endoscopy and a former intern at Jiangsu Chinese Hospital.
