Ain Shams University organizes a joint session of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Technical University of Berlin TU Berlin, Germany, within the activities of the university conference

Sponsored by Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, organized the university's eleventh annual international conference "Knowledge Economy ... for a Better Life", which will be held on May 10 and 11. The second day of the events witnessed the organization of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (ASU-iHub), a joint session with the Technical University of Berlin, Germany. TU Berlin, in the presence of Prof. Diaa Khalil, Executive Director of the Innovators' Care Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Mohamed El Behairy, Executive Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Ain Shams University, and Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Ain Shams University, and Prof. Mohammed Al-Sheikh, Director of the Technology Transfer Unit, and Dr. Islam Adly, Director of Student Activities, ASU-iClub, and representatives of startup owners in Egypt.

         
   
         

The session included a detailed presentation of the vision of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research 2030 on the ecosystem of entrepreneurship and support for investment in young minds in the higher education community, presented by His Excellency Prof. Diaa Khalil, Executive Director of the Innovators Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

         
   
         

His Excellency stressed the importance of achieving cooperation and integration between Egyptian universities, labor markets, makers and investors through innovation and entrepreneurship. Then, Prof. Mohamed El Behairy, Executive Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Ain Shams University, presented the center's strategic vision and its important role in spreading the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at Ain Shams University and supporting business owners of pioneering minds to enable them to form their startup companies to support the wheel of economy and development in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

         
     
         

His Excellency also gave an overview of the optimal solutions and success steps for the formation of start-ups.

In his speech during the session, Dr. Islam Adly, the supervisor of student activity at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University, pointed out the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in shaping the personality of Egyptian university students and how innovation and entrepreneurship are the ideal solutions for a stronger economy and sustainable solutions that serve Egypt's Vision 2030.

And he continued his talking about the Ain Shams Innovates Competition in its fourth edition, which aims to encourage innovation and creativity, support entrepreneurship in the Ain Shams University community, enhance the culture of entrepreneurship at the university, and provide university students, researchers, faculty staff, and startup owners with the skills necessary to transform their innovative ideas into viable projects, and emerging companies.

Prof. Jan Kratzer, Academic Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Technische Universität Berlin, gave a lecture on academic transformation with a sustainable impact. She also shed light on the most wonderful experience of both the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (ASU-iHub) at Ain Shams University and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Berlin in Germany

Through the ISI4 Egypt program, which lasts for three years, during which the students of the two centers will experience a more than wonderful experience full of innovation, entrepreneurship, and technical support.

Then Dr. Paul Wolf, a researcher at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Technical University of Berlin, gave a lecture on digital transformation and sustainability in light of innovation and entrepreneurship. His Excellency indicated his gratitude to Ain Shams University for the effective and successful cooperation in the ISI4 Egypt project.

Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Deputy Director of the Innovation Center at Ain Shams University, explained during the session's panel discussion that the ISI4 Egypt program is the ideal solution for economic growth by focusing on the activities and importance of Industry 4.0 through educational activities for all researchers and startups for a more creative and developed future.

Engineer Bassam Al-Saadani, Chief Technology Officer and founder of Si-Ware Systems, gave a more than interesting lecture that reflects the extent of the transformation that the industry has witnessed in recent times, how innovation and entrepreneurship are the main drivers of industrial progress, and explained the unique NeoSpectra model.

Eng. Sherif El Nabrawy, CEO and co-founder of VERO, gave an interesting lecture on the use of 3D scanning technology, and 3D Scanning and Virtual Reality.

Engineer Rahma Mohsen Ragab, Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Computers and Information Sciences, at Ain Shams University, shared her most wonderful experience in the activities of the ISI4 Egypt project, as Rahma is one of the winners of a seat in the summer school that will be at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany, next summer 2023, to showcase her project Interactive Augmented reality for a learning phonetics.

Finally, in a more than wonderful lecture, the researcher Moshira Ghallab, a data science teacher accredited by IBM, spoke about the use of technology in creating a smart model for integrative radio genome analysis, and the engineer Moshira is one of the winners of a seat in the summer school that will be at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany, next summer 2023.
