The activities of the second scientific conference of anti-violence units at Ain Shams University, entitled "Soft Power (Art and Literature) in Confronting Violence Crimes Against Women".

During the activities of the eleventh annual international conference of Ain Shams University under the title "Knowledge Economy... for a Better Life", and under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Prof. Hind Al-Hilali, Executive Director of the Women's Support and Anti-Violence Unit, at Ain Shams University. A session was held entitled "Soft Power (Art and Literature) in Confronting Violent Crimes Against Women" chaired by Prof. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, at Ain Shams University, Prof. Dalia Hussein Fahmy, Professor of Arabic Music, Head of the Department of Musical Education, and former Vice Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Research, Faculty of Specific Education, Prof. Rania Yehia is Head of the Philosophy of Art and Science Department at the Higher Institute of Art Criticism, at the Academy of Arts, and a member of the National Council for Women.

         
   
         

Prof. Osama opened the session and explained the role of the unit in supporting female students at the university and students of the Faculty of Specific Education, in particular, students with special abilities. He reviewed the role of specific education and the fruitful cooperation between the unit and the faculty in its support and continuous activity.

The session was moderated by Prof. Rania Yehia and Prof. Rasha Tammoum, a professor at the Department of Theory and Composition at the Faculty of Music Education, Helwan University, and rapporteur of the Music, Opera, and Ballet Committee at the Supreme Council of Culture, with a paper on women and musical creativity, spoke.

         
   
         

Prof. Ahlam Akbar bin Sheikh Mohammed Saleh, Assistant Professor at the Higher Institute of Musical Arts in Kuwait, gave a lecture entitled The Image of Women in Various Arabic Songs in the State of Kuwait (Alia Hussein) as a model.

Prof. Wahd Samir, Professor of Clothing, Jewelry and Accessories Design at the Fashion Department of the Higher Institute of Applied Arts and a member of the National Council for Women, presented the " Al-Khorda Bab Rizq" project and the "Sanaa Fe Edya, Aman Lya" initiative.

The poet Dr. Essam Khalifa presented poems about women.

         
   
         

Dr. Mohamed Yousry, a teacher of the Swahili language, African studies, at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, spoke about the ego and the other, and the conflict of gender identity in the Swahili novels.

Prof. Manal Eissa, from the Faculty of Arts, at Ain Shams University, gave a lecture entitled “The Image of the Egyptian Woman in the Moonlight, the Mulberry Tree, and the Duduk Tune, A Story of a Homeland”.

Prof. Dalia Hussein Fahmy, a professor at the Department of Musical Education, at the Faculty of Specific Education, and former Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies, spoke about Shamandoura's musical initiative in changing social norms and raising awareness.

Dr. Nardin Al-Atrouzy, a teacher at the Faculty of Arts, presented the storytelling experience, which is an experiment aimed at children to develop their skills in dealing with parents, especially mothers.

         
   
         

Prof. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, commented on the role of different sectors in art, literature and culture in supporting women's issues. On the sidelines of the session, some artworks of male and female students from the faculties of Ain Shams University were presented.

In conclusion, Prof. Hind Al-Hilali, Director of the Unit, honored the attendees, participants and session chairs.
