Ain Shams University celebrates the International Chinese Language Day

The Confucius Institute at Ain Shams University and the Department of Chinese Language at the Faculty of Al-Alsun organized a celebration under the title "Chinese Language and Supporting the Dialogue of Civilizations" within the framework of the celebration of the International Day of the Chinese Language, under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, and Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, In the presence of Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Prof. Nasser Abdel-Aal, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun and Director of the Confucius Institute, Dr. Khuang Le Bua, Chinese Director, Prof. Mervat Ali, Chairman of the Council of the Department of Chinese Language, and a group of professors and students at the Confucius Institute and the Department of Chinese Language at Ain Shams University.

On the sidelines of the celebration, the talent competition awards were announced under the title "My Story with China", organized by the Confucius Institute at Ain Shams University and Tianjin University for Foreign Studies, in which 40 faculty staff from Egyptian public and private universities and schools affiliated with the Egyptian Ministry of Education participated, which included the Chinese language, as a second foreign language, Prof. Salwa Rashad handed over the prizes to the winners.

The ceremony began with the speech of Prof. Nasser Abdel-Al, and the ceremony witnessed many art shows with the participation of students studying the Chinese language at Ain Shams University.

It is noteworthy that the United Nations celebrates the International Day of the Chinese Language on April 20 of each year, and this event comes within the framework of the vision of Ain Shams University to consolidate scientific, educational, and cultural cooperation with Chinese universities and to emphasize the depth of friendship and mutual friendliness between the two friendly countries, Egypt and China.
