The Faculty of Education organizes a visit to the Discovery Center for Science and Technology in Cairo

Based on the importance of preparing a generation capable of exploration, creativity and innovation in various human sciences, and application, in light of effective community participation, and within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between the Faculty of Education - Ain Shams University and the General Administration of Exploration Centers for Science, and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Safaa Shehata, Acting Professor The Dean of the Faculty, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector organized a visit to the main Discovery Center for Science and Technology in Cairo under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hanan Helmy Latif, General Coordinator of the Memorandum of Understanding and Director of the Faculty's Office of Communication and International Cooperation.

The main exploratory center in Cairo was visited by a team of faculty members at the Faculty headed by Professor Dr. Hala Helmy Latif, General Manager of the Expeditionary Centers, and Mr. Ibrahim Ahmed, General Manager of the main branch in Cairo. At the beginning of the visit, an integrated work team was introduced to all the activities offered by the Expeditionary Center in Cairo. The contents of the center were presented, and the production section, which includes Virtual laboratories, the production of interactive textbooks, video production and simulation models, as well as the museum, which includes many main components that serve many different fields of science in innovative and unconventional forms, as well as the components of the clubs in the center, which includes technological projects and technological manufacturing, as well as chemistry, physics and biology clubs. , mechanics, and environmental recycling clubs.

In addition to the above, the community services part was presented, which includes talent development, language training for students and parents, as well as computer fields, academic advising, and other community services. After that, a visit to the museum was made, which included the dinosaur park and the main components of the human body with devices Electronic and very modern in the detailed explanation of the components and in many languages and with wonderful display screens and the capabilities of distinguished smart display, then displaying the various environments, in addition to the room that includes the number of 99 Arab and foreign scientists who influenced their inventions on humanity and the hundred mirror is the case that the visitor looks at to prepare himself to be among these, the Museum of the History of Science was also visited, which is a permanent museum that sheds light on the historical aspect of science in Egypt during three main periods: Pharaonic Egypt, Alexandria in the Hellenistic era, and the Arab and Islamic world. As well as the Museum of Physics, which includes motion devices, light, tricks, etc., as well as space and its associated main components, and finally the planetarium, which includes celestial bodies and provides a comprehensive view of the sky and scenes of stars, planets and celestial bodies.

In conclusion, the visiting team of faculty staff at the Faculty expressed their happiness with the center’s outstanding achievement and development, the cooperation between the two sides, and the creative goals and mission of the exploration center, which contribute to learning exploratory skills among students and supporting creativity and innovation, which guarantee the quality of life in order to achieve Egypt’s Vision 2030.
