The Faculty of Education organizes training activities to employ literature and the English language to support the awareness and community development context

Within the framework of the keenness of the Faculty of Education at Ain Shams University to pay attention to aspects of language employment and its connection to society, and under the auspices of Prof. Safaa Shehata, Acting Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Abdel Nasser Rashad, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Aladdin Abdel Halim, Vice Dean for Community Affairs and Environmental Development, the Center for the Development of Teaching English Language, through Dr. Gehan Youssef, Director of the Center, cooperated with the project team "English language learning for sustainability" and in coordination with Dr. Fatima Ayad, Director of the University Projects Support Unit at the Adult Education Authority, and Dr. Eman Elwan, the trainer at the center, and the distinguished student Fatima Khaled in the first level, the Department of English, where many awareness seminars and various educational activities were held aimed at developing English language skills and creative thinking skills by promoting concepts of sustainable development, as part of the training program "Social and Continuous Learning in Light of the Japanese Model" in partnership with the Faculty of Education, the Japanese Cooperation Agency "JICA" and the Egyptian Kominkan Center.

         
   
         

Prof. Aladdin Abdel Halim Muhammad Farag, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, witnessed the closing session, which took place on Wednesday, March 15, 2022, and discussed all the efforts made by the project team and the management of the center and the distinguished and diverse activities of the participating students that reflect the idea and goal of the project in achieving consensus between different groups through language, as well as the possibility of transferring experiences related to environmental service, employing and sharing them with others, and the possibility of converting ideas into realistic actions and small implementable projects that benefit the individual and society, as well as employing literature and language in creating an awareness and development context that achieves the mission of the faculty and university contribute to the implementation of Egypt's Vision 2030 in the field of sustainable development.
