Activities of a symposium entitled The Roles of the Egyptian Family in "Contemporary Life" in the Faculty of Medicine, Students for Central Egypt Family Planning

The Students for Egypt family at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Medicine and the Unit for Combating Violence against Women, organized a symposium entitled "The Roles of the Egyptian Family in Contemporary Life", where Prof. Elham Shaheen, Assistant Secretary General of the Islamic Research Academy, Prof. Suhair Safwat, Professor of Sociology at the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, Prof. Siham Jibril, a member of the National Council for Women, gave a lecture, as part of the cultural activity in the faculty, to know the role of each member within the family to reach stability and family peace that leads to community peace.

The seminar was sponsored by Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Hala Suwaidi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Hebat Allah Saeed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, under the supervision of Prof. Hatem Rabih, pioneer of a family for central Egypt, Prof. Hind Al-Hilali, the head of the family at the Faculty of Medicine and the executive director of the Women’s Support and Anti-Violence Unit.

         
   
         

The seminar was opened by Prof. Hala Suwaidi, who clarified the role of the educational seminar for students in spreading awareness and developing the capabilities of students within the Faculty of Medicine, at Ain Shams University, regarding health care and community services inside and outside the university campus.

Prof. Hatem Rabih, leader of the Student Family for Central Egypt, explained the role played by the family in spreading awareness among students and developing capabilities that contribute to building character within society.

Prof. Elham Shaheen, Assistant Secretary General of the Islamic Research Academy, referred to the role of Al-Azhar in supporting the Egyptian family through many initiatives and programs such as the program of affection and reunion, and clarified the role of each individual within the family in terms of duties and rights. The role of the monotheistic religions and the Islamic religion also appeared in the need for individuals to adhere to their role within the family for the safety of the family from disintegration and family distance, and to help in psychological and social cohesion within the family.

Prof. Soheir Safwat, Professor of Sociology at the Faculty of Education, at Ain Shams University, explained the role of the family and that it is the nucleus of society, and that the family system has clear values ​​in the interdependence of generations, despite what has recently appeared in society of phenomena strange to our society, such as dispersal and family disintegration that is widespread now, due to the failure of family members to perform the roles of the family properly To be in the usual family life within the community.

   
   

Prof. Siham Jibril, member of the National Council for Women explained the role of the state in supporting the Egyptian family by empowering and strengthening the role of women in family life and the work of initiatives and projects aimed at developing the family by developing the capabilities of women throughout the Republic in all aspects of life.

The event included a stress management workshop presented by Dr. Amani Abdel-Aal, a clinical psychologist at the Women's Support and Anti-Violence Unit, to develop students' abilities on how to manage stress and overcome anxiety and tension.

On the sidelines of the symposium, a charity exhibition was held for the clothes provided to the students and staff of the faculty through the Knights of Hadidi Foundation.
