The Faculty of Education organizes an intensive training course for students on climate change in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment

Within the framework of the concern of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in Ain Shams Education on the necessity of environmental awareness and preserving the sustainability of resources and international efforts related to climate change issues and their importance in Egypt's Vision 2030, and in light of the implementation of the directives of His Excellency Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development. In this regard, the need to continue raising awareness for all university employees in preserving the environment and working on its development. The Faculty of Education under the directives of Prof. Alaa El Din Abdel Halim Muhammed Farag, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, represented by the Environmental Affairs Agency, through the Central Administration for Organization, Management and Training, and with the efforts of the training course coordinator, Mr. Ahmed Muhammad Abdel-Khaleq from the Environmental Affairs Agency, to implement an intensive training course for college students from all disciplines in the college over the course of two days.

         
   
         

On the first day, the training was conducted by Engineer Lydia Mohamed Kamel Aliwa, and it was about climate change and sustainable development, the national strategy for climate change 2050, and the presentation of the results of the COP27 Conference of the Parties as well as national efforts in the areas of reducing emissions and adapting to climate change. On the second day of training, he dealt with another group of Environmental experts represented by Dr. Al-Azab Muhammad Al-Azab Tahoun, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Aquaculture at the Faculty of Fisheries, Suez University, who dealt with the presentation of sustainable aquaculture systems, methods of adaptation to climate changes, and national efforts in the fields of reducing emissions, climate and the relationship of sustainable development and the environment.

At the end of the two-day intensive training course, a set of recommendations were concluded, centered on the necessity of raising awareness among all segments of society, especially students, of the importance of preserving the environment, paying attention to climate change issues, and contributing to reducing emissions, and that preserving the environment is everyone's responsibility. At the end of the course Many photos were taken, and in conclusion, the importance of this type of training was emphasized, which contributes to raising awareness of the requirements of the environment and its preservation, which is reflected in the comprehensive development of the environment to achieve the mission of the college and the university in the field of community service and environmental development.
