A delegation from the German University of Marburg discusses cooperation with the Center for Networking and Information Technology at Ain Shams University

Under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Islam Hegazy, Director of the Networks and Information Technology Center, met with a delegation from the German University of Marburg.

This comes within the framework of the agreement signed between the Faculty of Archeology, Ain Shams University, and the German University of Marburg, which yesterday was attended by Prof. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Hossam Tantawy, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology and Prof. Mamdouh El-Damaty, former Minister of Antiquities, and Ambassador Sašo Podlesnik, Ambassador of Slovenia to the Arab Republic of Egypt, inaugurated the digitization laboratory at the Faculty of Archeology, which contains the latest scanner of Ain Shams University, as the laboratory is the first of its kind in Egyptian universities and scans rare copies of books.

Dr. Islam Hijazi discussed with the delegation the mechanisms of cooperation to establish a system for historical manuscripts, reviewing the services provided by the Center for Networks and Information Technology, and the systems provided by the Center were also discussed.

For his part, Engineer Mahmoud Ramadan reviewed the services provided by each of the Shams systems, and the general services it provides to the center, university, and faculties in general.
