The Faculty of Al-Alsun contributes abundant literary production to the Cairo Book Fair in its fifty-fourth session

The Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University participated in the activities of the fifty-fourth session of the Cairo International Book Fair with a rich and distinguished literary production of a group of distinguished professors and scholars in The Faculty of Al-Alsun in order to achieve their lofty academic and societal mission.

Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, explained that the name Al-Alsun was associated with the early Egyptian renaissance in its modern age. And on the path of the enlightened grandfather, Rifa'a Al-Tahtawi, The Faculty of Al-Alsun remains a shining star in the sky of thought and creativity. It is worthy of appreciation and congratulations - and in conjunction with the fifty-fourth session of the Cairo International Book Fair - the abundant and distinguished production of the cultural and media arena of a group of distinguished professors and scholars in fulfilling their lofty academic and societal mission.

Among the most important of these honorable achievements:

         
   
         

❖ The publication of the latest book of Prof. Jalal Abu Zeid, Professor of Literature and Criticism at the Department of Arabic Language, “A reading of Khaled Al-Qadi’s writings - fifty books during the thirty years 1992-2022.” Al-Ahram House for Legal Publications organized a book-signing ceremony, and a seminar was held on the sidelines of the book signing a number of university professors, judges, jurists and officials participated in it, as well as intellectuals, intellectuals, writers, media professionals and public figures.

❖ The publication of the book Aesthetics of Postmodern Narrative - on the Anglo Library - by Prof. Omaima Khashaba, Head of the Arabic Language Department.

❖ Al-Bishri House published a number of critical and literary works by Prof. Wajih Yaqoub, Professor of Literature and Criticism at the Department of Arabic Language, including: women’s narration, criticism and approach to problematic texts, the Egyptian novel in light of modern critical approaches, and the image of the self and the other.

❖ Presenting the translation of the book “Russian Immigration to Egypt”, published by the “Egyptian-Russian Foundation for Culture and Science” by Prof. Muhammad Nasr al-Din Muhammad al-Jabal, Professor and Head of the Russian Language Department, holding a symposium entitled “Refining Meanings in Translating Classics of Russian Literature” - translation Novel: The Other "by Dostoevsky, by Dr. Muhammad Al-Jabaal as a model - "Don" publishing house – on Friday 3 th of February at 6 pm.

         
   
         

❖ Published by Al-Arabi House, the latest translations of Prof. Dr. Amr Shatouri, Professor at the Department of Czech Language: The Anarchist Settlement Novel.

❖ The issuance of a number of critical and fictional works translated from Czech literature by Assistant Professor of the Department of Czech Language and Acting Head of the Department, Dr. Khaled El-Beltagy, including: Forms of Emotional Novel, Death of a Girl, Mothers and Truck Drivers.

❖ The publication of my books, George Forster, "Between Freedom and the Power of Nature" and "Tea Cultures... Rituals... Tales" translated by Dr. Samar Mounir, literature teacher at the German Language Department, as well as her most recent translation of the novel, "Maryam".

❖ Translated by Dr. Ahmed Siddiq Al-Wahi, Assistant Professor in the Department of English and Acting Head of the Department, the book “Sir James Fraser and the Literary Imagination: Essays on Influence and Influence” was published, edited by Robert Fraser, on the authority of the Golden Bough and its impact on thought, literature and art. The book is on the Hall of the National Center for Translation in the exhibition.

❖ The investigation of Dr. Muhammad Tolba Muhammad Abdul Qadir Nassar, a teacher in the English Language Department, the book “Sunni Jewels on the Oriental Beliefs” written by: Muhyi al-Din al-Meligy, and Sheikh Abdul Wahhab al-Sha’rani, with other treatises on Sufism by “Imam al-Sha’rani.” The two books are on display at publishing house of al-Ihsan Saray 4, Hall A15.

❖ The participation of Dr. Muhammad Bahnasi, a teacher in the English Language Department, in translating the book “The Contemporary Arab Contribution to World Culture,” edited by Magdy Youssef, and it is located in the Bibliotheca Alexandrina hall in the exhibition.
