Ain Shams University ranks first among all Egyptian universities in implementing infection control standards

Within the framework of the celebration of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in cooperation with the World Health Organization, the Supreme Committee for Infection Control in university hospitals celebrated the annual infection control day. The results of the visits of a team consisting of a number of professors from several universities and from the Supreme Council of Universities and the World Health Organization on all Egyptian universities and their affiliated university hospitals to determine the extent to which infection control standards are applied, and Ain Shams University ranked first among all universities in applying infection control standards and was the most distinguished Ain Shams University hospital among the university hospitals are the Elderly Hospital, Heart Academy, Ain Shams Specialized Hospital, Bone Marrow Transplantation, and Children's Hospital.

Shields were distributed to distinguished hospitals and were handed over by Prof. Naima Al-Qaseer, Director of the World Health Organization's office in Egypt, and Prof. Ghada Abdel Wahid, coordinator of the Supreme Committee for Infection Control at the Supreme Council of Universities. The shield of Ain Shams University was received by Prof. Samia Abdo, Director of Infection Control at Ain Shams University and Deputy Executive Director of University Hospitals.
