Applying for a research competition for university students participating in the Grace Anti-Corruption Initiative

Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini and Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, for opening the door for students of Ain Shams University to participate in the research competition organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with the Administrative Control Authority, within the framework of the implementation plan of the global initiative to combat corruption in the field of education and youth empowerment "Grace "

The university invites its students to participate in the research competition organized by the Ministry of Higher Education among the universities participating in the (Grace) initiative, which aims to build a generation of young people capable of solving problems related to corruption, its causes and methods in various fields, and preparing innovative policies and recommendations that help decision-makers. in eradicating and confronting corruption.

Students wishing to participate should take the following general guidelines as a condition for applying for the competition:

1- The applicants for the competition must be university students.

1- Participation takes place in the form of teams of students from different disciplines, with a maximum of five students in each team, whether in undergraduate or postgraduate studies.

2- Each team submits a research paper not exceeding eight pages.

3- Each team presents a policy summary that presents innovative solutions to deal with the phenomenon of corruption in its various forms, and each team identifies the issue it addresses in the light of its reading and analysis of the necessary documents, the most important of which are: National Anti-Corruption Strategies in its three versions for the periods: (2014-2018), (2019-2019). 2022), (2023-2030), Egypt's Vision 2030, the Egyptian Human Development Report 2021, and other related studies.

4- Each team chooses the decision-maker to whom the policy brief is directed, as well as the topic that revolves around it

Summary of policies (pre-university education, higher education, health sector, state administrative apparatus, public services, etc.).

The policy summary consists of:

Basic Components: (Title - Executive Summary - Introduction - Situation Analysis - Designing Alternatives Recommendations - Conclusion - References and Footnotes)

Complementary components (provided that you add): (explanatory or summary frames - applied cases - tables - figures - illustrations)

Formal components: (header) - author of the paper (name / position) - thanks and appreciation - details of the release (organizing authorities, the initiative within which the summary comes).

A detailed presentation and an educational video explaining each component of the aforementioned policy summary are attached.

The university nominates two research papers from the submitted research, to go through the playoffs with the research submitted by other universities participating in the initiative.

Teams wishing to participate should go to the Youth Welfare Department at the university to register for the period from (5 January to 9 February 2023).
