The Science, Technology, and Innovation Funding Authority (STDF) has announced the opening of the door to apply for the second call for funding postgraduate students (Masters – Ph.D.), as one of the competitive funding mechanisms offered by the state to Egyptian scientists and researchers in conducting various research. This comes in light of achieving the goals of sustainable development "Vision Egypt 2030", to develop the innovative and creative capabilities of researchers, and to link their research to the needs of Egyptian society.
This appeal aims to motivate and advance scientific research, build the capabilities of young researchers in scientific fields, and prepare cadres capable of raising the level of scientific research in Egypt.
The general terms of the appeal include financing the best research plans for Egyptian scholars enrolled in postgraduate studies in scientific faculties in Egyptian public universities, for a period of no more than two years for master’s students, and no more than three years for doctoral students, provided that the preliminary study for the degree is completed, with funding up to 250,000 pounds for master's students, and funding of up to 350,000 pounds for doctoral students.
The deadline for receiving research proposals is Monday, February 13, 2023, at two o'clock in the afternoon, according to the detailed rules and conditions of this call on the Authority's website:
