The National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation and (WFME) in the hospitality of Ain Shams University

Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sengab, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, received the delegation of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation headed by Dr. Johansen Eid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation, and a delegation from the World Federation for Medical Education "WFME".

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El Meteni, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, And Dr. Rasha Khafaji, Director of the Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation at Ain Shams University. Where a protocol meeting was held for the auditors with Prof. Abdel Nasser Sengab and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El Meteni to ensure that the quality of education is continuously upgraded and that educational institutions are adopted according to national standards that are transparent and conform to international standards.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sengab explained that Ain Shams University has sought through concerted efforts and join forces with the concerned authorities to issue a new framework, the national framework of qualifications. This is in order to be able to activate its role as a catalyst and strategic partner, and aims to restore confidence in the outputs of the Egyptian educational system. In line with the State strategy and the directives of President Abdelfattah Sissi to create a society that learns and innovates.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El Meteni explained that the Faculty of Medicine has evolved. Adding, "We aim to focus on the actual quality applied to the ground and reduce paperwork, and to achieve the highest return and the benefit of the institution honored, working to facilitate procedures and attention to the achievements of the Faculty of Medicine to reach the quality of the final product of the educational process not the quality of papers. We are keeping pace with the standards of developments in the international education arena, in order to reach Egyptian standards to international standards.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Dr. Johansen Eid, said that the quality of education in Egypt is a joint responsibility that starts with the Commission by setting standards for the quality of education in line with international standards and passing through providing technical support to educational institutions. Standards. Noting that the educational institutions to work to meet these standards, and then the role of the Commission as an external resident to verify the access of educational institutions to the minimum quality standards.
 

Dr. Rasha Khafagi, Director of the Center of Quality Assurance and Accreditation at Ain Shams University, explained that the aim of quality standards is to become a leading university for quality assurance and accreditation and a partner in developing the educational process in Egypt by providing all international standards.

​​​​​​​The delegation concluded by a visit to the Al-Zaafran Palace, then going in a field visit to the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams. The visit will take three days from Monday 29/10/2 to Wednesday 31/10/2018.
