The Faculty of Medicine Council holds the fourth session for the academic year 2022-2023

The Council of the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University held its fourth session for the academic year 2022-2023, headed by Prof. Dr.Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty , and the Vice Deans, Prof. Dr. Osama Mansour, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hebat Allah Saeed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hala Sweed, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in the presence of the wise Prof. Dr. Ahmed Okasha, Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry, and a member of the Presidential Council of Senior Egyptian Scholars, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Professor of Chest Diseases, former Minister of Health, and Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Ahmed Al-Abd, professor of cardiology and former president of the university, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Fawzi Montaser, Professor of Tropical Medicine and former dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Tariq Yousef, Acting Executive Director of University Hospitals, directors of university hospitals, and heads of academic and clinical departments.

During the session, the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, the Department of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Management, and the Department of Pediatrics were honored for their outstanding efforts in international progress and obtaining first place in Egypt, Africa, and the Arab countries according to the SCIMAGO University Rankings for the year 2022.

Also, Prof. Dr. Safinaz Al-Habashi, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Pediatrics and Director of the Strategic Planning Unit in the Faculty, was honored for her distinguished efforts in science and education by organizing and activating the question bank and examinations in the Department of Pediatrics.

The council also discussed the agenda.
