Ain Shams University hosted, headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Dr. Rasha Ragheb, Executive Director of the National Training Academy, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Affairs and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and a group of deans and vice- deans of faculties, within the framework of the activities of the cultural and artistic season at Ain Shams University, which is organized by the sectors of community service affairs and environmental development and the education and students sector, in coordination with Prof. Dr. Jihan Ragab, Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, under the supervision of Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Mrs. Reham Al-Atifi, Acting Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, said that this symposium comes within a series of cultural seminars within the framework of the cultural season of the university, which the university is keen to hold in order to expand the perceptions of university students and introduce them to developments on all cultural and practical levels, which refines their personality and opens up new outlets for them that benefit them in their practical and personal lives after their graduation, stressing the importance of continuous education and training for all in line with the requirements of the labor market and the successive industrial and digital revolutions, praising the role of the National Training Academy, which has grown a lot during the past few years.
His Excellency also stressed the importance of education and learning as the basis, in addition to the importance of cultural meetings that develop the intellect of our students and provide them with some personal skills that have become very important for the current labor market, pointing to the goals of sustainable development of the United Nations and Egypt’s strategy 2030 with academic cooperation, twinning and training locally, regionally and internationally.
Dr. Rasha Ragheb expressed her happiness at being present at Ain Shams University and her pride in being one of the university’s children. Her Excellency explained the establishment of the National Academy for Training, as it was established by a decision of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Academy in 2017, and added that the Academy is an institution that works with a different thought and pattern in terms of developing a method of thinking and therefore studying alone is not enough, but we always need training skills, and she drew attention to the fact that every successful person must be familiar with social, economic, political and intellectual disciplines in general and not only his field of specialization, as the academy is interested in adding the parts that have been overlooked.
Her Excellency reviewed the programs offered by the Academy, including the Presidential Leadership School for the age group from 20 to 30 years. The Presidential Program for Qualifying Youth for Leadership, regardless of practical and scientific backgrounds, continues for a year. 30 to 45 years old, in addition to a presidential program launched in 2019 for African youth in order to strengthen relations with the African continent, She emphasized the role of the state in helping its employees to qualify for leadership before the appointment, noting that the academy focuses on creating a leadership personality on 70% of personal skills, management, communication, sports, and cultural programs, and 30% cooperation with a specialized technical expert was done to transfer practical experience, pointing out that the application for the academy is done electronically Without the intervention of the human element except in personal interviews, highlighting the role of the Presidential School to qualify women to address Egyptian immigrants outside Egypt and to properly share Egypt's issues with them.
The Academy also implements the assignments of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and His Excellency the Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly to implement various training programs tailored to different bodies according to the purpose of the programs, in addition to offering a wide range of tailor-made programs to enhance the capabilities of executives and managers working in various institutions, and to develop the capabilities and skills of the trainees to enable them to perform their work in a professional manner that is reflected in increasing the levels of productivity and efficiency in their institutions, in order to meet the requirements and developments within the labor market worldwide.
