The Faculty of Al-Alsun organizes the French Language Department Graduate Day event

The French Language Department, in cooperation with the Ain Shams University Alumni Association, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, and the Graduates Follow-up and Vocational Training Unit at the Faculty, organized the Graduate Day event under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, President of the Ain Shams University Alumni Association, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Rania Adel, Head of the French Language Department, and in the presence of the graduates who shared their experiences in the labor market, in addition to the students of the department, the faculty staff and the teaching assistants.

Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of the Ain Shams University Alumni Association, opened the event and gave a welcoming speech to the audience and presented the role of the Association, which is a link between the university and the graduates, and that the Association provides many services to the graduates.

         
   
         

She emphasized that the association's membership card is received free of charge along with the graduation certificate and that the annual subscription is a symbolic amount, as she referred to the association's website and page on social networks.

And Prof. Dr. Yumna Safwat Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, praised the activity of the French Language Department and its teachers and indicated that a large number of employers are asking for graduates of the department because of their linguistic and personal skills. She also confirmed that the graduate of the department proves himself in various fields.

And Prof. Dr. Rania Adel, Head of the French Language Department, indicated the importance that the department attaches to graduates, as electronic questionnaires are made for them to know the places they occupied and the positions they occupied, and their experience is utilized in the development of the program and courses.

Communication with graduates has become a tradition for the department, as several seminars were previously held with former graduates working in the field of journalism, media, and interpretation.

Then came the speech of the graduates, where the graduate, Rana Al-Jayar, started talking about what she had achieved in her work in the human resources department of a French pharmaceutical company.

She talked about her professional career and her job interview and succeeded because of one of the courses taught, which is the French language for specialized purposes. The graduate stressed the importance of the translation course to strengthen the language and the text course to develop analytical skills. The graduate emphasized the importance of planning, perseverance, striving, and perseverance.

Graduate Esraa Amir, who was appointed ambassador to the Grand Egyptian Museum, also spoke about her career, where she started working in call centers when she was a student, then worked as a teaching assistant at a private university for two years, then passed the DELF C2 exam, which is the highest level in the French language until she was appointed at the Grand Museum.

The meeting ended with the distribution of certificates of thanks and appreciation to the graduates.
