Within the framework of Egypt's hosting of the QS reimagine education conference, which discussed, for two consecutive days, developments and the future of education in the world, Prof. Abdel Fattah Mohamed FathiSaoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, highlighted, in a discussion session, the constructive thinking and its role in education, in the presence of Dr. TarekShawky, former Minister of Education and Prof. John Latham, Vice-Chancellor of Coventry University and Prof. Pedro Saraiva, Vice President of Nova University.
During the discussion session, Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud has his experience in thinking and working outside the box over the course of his academic and medical work in developing clinical medical education to train highly skilled and safe surgeons in orthopedic and spine surgeries, and from there to all surgical specialties.
His Excellency also reviewed the unique experience of Ain Shams University in readiness and work in innovative and proactive ways prior to the Covid-19 pandemic and its repercussions, and how the university benefited from constructive and proactive thinking to confront the pandemic in various aspects.
On the sidelines of the conference, Dr. Ahmed Al-Banna, Director of the International Classification Office at Ain Shams University, participated in a meeting with Dr. Ashwin Fernandez, Regional Director of the QS Organization, with the International Classification Committee of Egyptian Universities to discuss the latest developments in the international QS classification and classification of universities in achieving sustainable development goals and planning university files for the next classification.
