In recognition of the constructive efforts presented by the National Bank of Egypt to Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El Matiny, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Hospital and Dr. Ayman Saleh, Director General of the University Hospitals, honored Hisham Okasha, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Egypt and Vice President of the Federation of Banks of Egypt in recognition of the outstanding efforts and support of the National Bank of Egypt towards Ain Shams University and its hospitals as one of the national economic edifices in Egypt.
Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat referred to the great role played by the National Bank of Egypt towards Ain Shams University and its hospitals. He pointed out that the National Bank of Egypt provides the necessary support and funding for the development of Ain Shams University hospitals. Where the volume of donations to more than 170 million pounds, including the various hospitals of the university as a dialysis unit, and the Department of Reception and Emergency, Department of Oncology, and Children's Hospital, the operations and sterilization wing of Al Demerdash hospital.
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matini expressed his deep thanks to the National Bank of Egypt for its many contributions towards the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University as well as its hospitals. He pointed out that the support of the National Bank of Egypt contributes significantly to the speed of completion of new constructions and the development and modernization of existing facilities at the highest level to ensure the delivery of outstanding medical service. He said that the coming period will witness several major inaugurations in Al-Demerdash Hospital and Ain Shams Specialized hospital.
For his part, Mr. Hisham Okasha praised the distinguished service provided by Ain Shams University hospitals as well as transparency in dealing which facilitates the role of the bank in its role towards community service.
He added that the National Bank of Egypt does not hesitate to provide the necessary funding to Ain Shams University and the university hospitals as part of the growing role of the bank to support and develop the health and education sector in Egypt, which directly affects the needs of the Egyptian citizen, health and education.
The meeting witnessed honoring of Mrs. Abeer goueili, Director of Community Participation Program, National Bank of Egypt.
