Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, during his interview with the media man, Mohamed El-Baz, on the Al-Nahar channel, in the “Akher Al-Nahar” program, spoke about the file of higher education. Also, the program discussed with Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, pioneer of liver transplantation, details of organ donation after death. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini stated that there is no religious dispute regarding the donation of organs of the deceased, that 65% of donors in Egypt are relatives, and that the controversy over this issue ended with the issuance of Law No. 5 in February 2010 by the House of Representatives regarding organ transplantation, and the law regulated everything including the donor and the recently deceased, after discussions with Al-Azhar and the Egyptian Church.
