Today, Thursday, a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Confucius Institute, Ain Shams University, and Guang Dong University for Foreign Studies was held, in the presence of both Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Esraa Abdel Sayed, Director of the Confucius Institute, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector at Ain Shams University, Dr. Lamia Ali Al-Shakhaibi, Deputy Director of the Confucius Institute, and academic and administrative assistants at the Confucius Institute Prof. Dr. Jiao Fangtai, Vice President of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Prof. Dr. Huang Luyang, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute, and members of the Office of Confucius Institutes, Guangdong University.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini welcomed the honorable attendees and expressed his happiness at the progress achieved by the Confucius Institute in the past period, and its promotion from a class to an institute within a short period. His Excellency also praised the activities and training courses provided by the Institute during the last period, and the role played by the Confucius Institute at Ain Shams University in holding HSK exams online during the past years in light of the Corona pandemic, he also gave his thanks to Guang Dong University for Foreign Studies for its constant support to the Confucius Institute.

Prof. Dr. Jiao Fang Tai welcomed the honorable attendees and extended his sincere thanks to Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini and Prof. Dr. Esraa Abdel-Sayed for the progress achieved by the Confucius Institute and the success it has achieved during the last period. His Excellency affirmed the commitment of the Chinese side to provide all support for the activities provided by the Institute.

And Prof. Dr. Huang Lu Yang gave a brief presentation of all the activities and training courses held by the Confucius Institute, Ain Shams University during the year 2022 AD, and His Excellency presented a proposal for the next year.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Esraa Abdel Sayed discussed the future plan for the Confucius Institute, Ain Shams University, and the establishment of the new building for the institute during the coming period.
