Under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Amani Osama Kamel, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, and under the supervision of Prof. Rola Milad Labib, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector organized a symposium to complement the cultural season program entitled Boost your health naturally by optimizing the benefits of your food, herb and supplement food, by Prof. Khaled Moselhy, Professor of Pharmacology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University.

The symposium dealt with several points, the most important of which is that it is necessary to understand the language of nutrients in order to maximize the benefit from them. Some elements need a partner to benefit from them, such as types of iron in plant sources, and some hate partners and prevent their usefulness in the presence of partners. Some elements need preparation in a specific way to not waste its benefits, such as garlic, which needs conditions for activation. A bunch of its benefits, and some hate heat because its elements are destroyed by heat and storage, such as vitamin C and olive oil, and some elements love heat and their benefits increase by heating. If we take it in doses greater than what is permitted, and it turns into harm instead of benefit, coffee and dark chocolate together play symphonies and great harmony for the benefit of our health, but in moderation.

In the context of World Diabetes Day, some foods are mistakenly understood to not raise sugar, but they do raise sugar in a significant way, such as brown sugar and bee honey, and many other examples.

God Almighty created food in it as a cure and protection, provided that we understand the scientific language of food.

The lecture touched on about 20 examples of these languages and how to simply understand and master them. Food makes us angry and happy, loves and hates, and if we understand all these points, it is serious for us with all its benefits.
