The success of the experimental application of the Correct electronic examination system in the midterm exams at the Faculty of Arts

Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Sherine Mazloum, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Mr. Abdullah, Director of the Electronic Measurement and Evaluation Unit, checked the "Midterm" exams in the new electronic system, "Correct", which began in the seventh week until the ninth week of study, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, the students’ opinions of the first-level exam committee in the distinguished programs, about the new system in the exam and its ease of use for them.

         
   
         

She explained that the new system is being implemented gradually until the faculty staff is trained to use it, and an explanatory videography is published for students on how to use it before entering the exam through various methods of communication with students.

Prof. Dr. Mona Abdel-Aal, Director of the University’s Education Department, explained that the "Correct Assessment" System is a smart evaluation system that allows the creation of balanced tests that are sent to students through computers in the faculty's laboratories. Immediately, where the student gets to know his result as soon as he finishes answering the questions, and he can also identify the correct answer.

She added that a number of faculty staff in the Faculty have been trained to create questions and upload them to the system and to design tests using the question bank emanating from the system. Electronic question banks have also been established for first-level tests in all programs. It will also enable faculty staff to prepare more than one exam form, with the aim of Reducing the phenomenon of cheating or expecting questions.

Prof. Dr. Mr. Abdullah, Director of the Electronic Measurement and Evaluation Unit, pointed out that the students of the Hebrew program had performed their exams through this system in the computer laboratories of the Faculty.

Today, 25 students took the trial exam, and after completing the exam and announcing the result, a number of memorial photos were taken of Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel and the members of the inspection tour with the students to document the conduct of the first electronic test in the Faculty and passing the experiment successfully.
