The President of the University Attends the Book Signing Ceremony of "Pope Tawadros II... Years of Love for God and the Country"

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, witnessed the signing of the book "Pope Tawadros II... Years of Love for God and the Homeland", in the presence of the Minister of Petroleum, Eng. Tarek El Molla, the Minister of Local Development, Major General Hesham Amna, the Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad, Ambassador Suha Gendy, and Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the National Council for Women, Dr. Ghada Wali, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and a number of thinkers, intellectuals, public figures, media professionals and journalists in the Coptic Orthodox Church.

         
   
         

Prof. Gehan Ragab, Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, also attended from the university.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matini expressed his happiness with this book and what it contains, thanking His Holiness the Pope for his support for the country amid crises, stressing that Egypt is strong and able to overcome all difficulties in light of crises the world is witnessing.

The university president stressed that His Holiness, Pope Tawadros II, is a national symbol who, with his wisdom, helped the ship to cross the nation safely in a period full of challenges.

Pope Tawadros II's book, "Years of Love for God and the Fatherland", details what happened in Egypt, as well as the papal journey with his family. It took the media Sherine Abdel Khaleq 3 years to record with Pope Tawadros the scenes of the ten years he spent as Pope of the Egyptian Church.

The discussion witnessed an open dialogue between the audience and His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, the stations in his life, what he went through in Egypt and how the Egyptian Church and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif stood as a wall, protecting the homeland and affirming that our strength will not be shaken by conspiracies or discrimination.

The book was edited by the media, Shereen Abdel-Khalek, and its introduction was written by Counselor Adly Mansour, the former President of the Republic.
