An educational seminar for the coordination of youth parties and politicians at Ain Shams University

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteni, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in light of hosting Egypt for the Climate Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh in November 2022, and within the framework of the efforts of the Egyptian state and national and civil institutions to work for the climate and in the belief of the coordination of youth parties and politicians in the role of the political leadership in sponsoring all sects of Egyptian society.

The Coordination of Youth Parties and Politicians held an educational symposium at Ain Shams University, as part of a series of educational symposia it holds inside Egyptian universities with the aim of enhancing youth capacity-building towards climate action and awareness of climate change under the title “From Stockholm to Sharm El-Sheikh, the march of climate action”.

         
   
         

In her speech, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs welcomed the Young Parliamentarians at Ain Shams University, stressed that Ain Shams University students will benefit from the experiences of the coordination youth, and that this is the beginning of a series of cooperation with the coordination of young parliamentarians.

Parliamentarian Dr. Ghada Ali, a member of the House of Representatives, said that the Coordination of Youth of Parties and Politicians is a platform that aims to listen to the voice of Egyptian youth from supporters and opponents of 26 parties in addition to independent youth.

She also confirmed that during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, young people were able to participate effectively in political life, as we have 6 conservative representatives, 19 young representatives in the Senate, and 32 young parliamentarians in the House of Representatives, and this has not happened in the history of political and parliamentary life in Egypt.

   
   

In his speech, the parliamentarian Eng. Mohamed Ismail, a member of the House of Representatives, expressed his happiness at his presence at Ain Shams University.

He pointed out that the coordination is a model for the national dialogue, which aims to identify priorities in light of many axes, whether external or internal, for development work in all fields.

He added that the national dialogue revolves around three political, social and economic axes. He also pledged to transmit the opinions, proposals and problems of youth to specialists and officials in all transparency.

Prof. Hayam Farouk, a senator, spoke that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi called for a national dialogue in order to know the problems and challenges facing the Egyptian youth, and recommended the youth to work on continuously developing their skills in all fields to be able to assume the responsibility of this country in the future.

   
   

Parliamentarian Dr. Mohamed Emara, a member of the Senate, referred to the national dialogue and that it is like a brainstorming for all the Egyptian people because they are partners in the development process, stressing that the goal of the national dialogue is to deliver the message of the youth to the officials.

He explained that there are many workshops that follow the coordination, and he called on the youth of Ain Shams University to participate in them to contribute to increasing their political awareness.

The parliamentarian Mr. Moamen Sayed that the goal of the coordination is to develop youth awareness on the political, economic and social levels in the interest of society and produce a more aware generation that can assume responsibility.

The door for dialogue has been opened with the youth of Ain Shams University, and the young parliamentarians have answered all the questions

At the end of the symposium, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk honored young parliamentarians and gifted them the shield of Ain Shams University.
