The Faculty of Law inaugurates Prof. Dr. Reda El-Sayed Abdel Hamid Conference Hall

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Safi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, inaugurated Prof. Dr. Reda El-Sayed Abdel-Hamid’s conference hall after it was completely reconfigured with a financial donation from the family of the late Prof. Dr. Reda El-Sayed Abdul Hamid, who worked for many years as a professor of commercial law at the Faculty, and served as the head of the department, director of the French language study division, and the Faculty’s vice-dean for graduate studies and research affairs. He passed away in 2017, leaving a great scientific legacy in legal libraries.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El- Meteini extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the family of Prof. Dr. Reda El-Sayed Abdel-Hamid, and his honor valued their generous donation to serve the science and Faculty in which the late great worked for many years, and in which he held the highest scientific and administrative positions.

Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, expressed his happiness to be in the Faculty of Law, thanking this amount of development, which has become a feature of the Faculty of Law, especially under the administration of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Safi, Dean of the Faculty.

His Excellency added that the administration of Ain Shams University showed a number of examples of community participation and development and emphasized that it is a real partner who deserves support as a result of working outside the fund, and therefore everyone should support sustainability in what is being renewed at the university.

His Excellency pointed out that all the participating parties believe that the university is doing everything in its power to achieve this development, and this spirit is transmitted to other people who have a sense of belonging, whom today honored the memory of their relatives in this noble tradition.

His Excellency also stressed that the Faculty of Law brought out great statures from representatives of the People's Assembly to ministers and governors, great statures who deserve all honor.

His Excellency pointed out that Prof. Dr. Reda El-Sayed Abdel Hamid is a great stature in the field of law, great in his profession, but also great in raising his children who are present today to participate in their role in their social responsibility towards Ain Shams University and towards their late father as an ongoing charity, citing the saying of God Almighty, "As for the froth So he goes away as nothing that benefits people stays on the land.”

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Safi highly greatly appreciated the visit of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini and Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud to the Faculty of Law and noted their great supporting role for the Faculty and its development projects.

On behalf of the Faculty, he also extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the family of the late Professor Dr. Reda El-Sayed Abdel Hamid for their generous donation to rehabilitate the conference hall, praising the knowledge and creation of the great late, and the loyalty of his family to him and the place where he worked.

His Excellency extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Prof. Dr. Jamal Al-Khouli, a professor at the Faculty of Engineering at the university and a member of the Engineering Consultation Center, who oversaw the reconstruction of the hall, and to Zain Contracting, the executing company.

The son of the late great Prof. Dr. Hossam Reda El-Sayed Abdel-Hamid, professor of commercial law at the Faculty, thanked Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Safi for their support, and for attending the opening of the hall bearing the name of his father, and welcomed the attendees.

The opening ceremony was attended by the deputies of the faculty, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Shafei, Prof. Dr. Yassin Al-Shazly, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Dahoum, and a large group of faculty, presented by Prof. Muhammad Ramzi Al-Shaer, Prof. Dr. Hamdi Abdel-Rahman, and the family of the late, his family and relatives.
