An introductory seminar on scholarships in accordance with the cooperation agreement concluded between Ain Shams University represented by the Faculty of Commerce and the University of Chicago, funded by the Sawiris Foundation for Development

The Faculty of Commerce organized on Wednesday, October 26 for the fifth year in a row, an introductory symposium on the scholarship program offered by the University of Chicago for the year 2022/2023, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Khaled Kadry, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University, and this was stated by Prof. Dr. Hiyam Wahba, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and Coordinator of the Agreement at the University.

She also indicated that 15 male and female students from the Faculty of Commerce received this scholarship in the disciplines of financial markets, economics, accounting, and finance during the previous years.

         
   
         

Also, Prof. Dr. Hiam Wahba praised the role of the university and the Faculty in building the cadres of its students and their continuous support, as presented by Prof. Dr. Dina Rashid, Vice Dean of the University of Chicago, Presentation of the scholarship stages, requirements, and technical support provided to scholarship candidates.

Prof. Heba Iskandar, Director of Development Programs at Sawiris Foundation for Development, explained the role of the Sawiris Foundation in supporting outstanding students in all disciplines.

         
   
         

In the end, Prof. Hiam Wahba thanked the university administration represented by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Meteini, the deputies for their continuous support, and the Faculty administration represented by the Prof. Dr. Dean of the Faculty, and the faculty staff. Also, she thanked Dr. Dina Rashid, the general coordinator of the agreement from the University of Chicago, and Ms. Heba Iskandar, representative of the Sawiris Foundation for Development, for their constant support to the students.
