The President of Ain Shams University inaugurates the activities of the first edition of week "ASU Career Week 2022"
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, inaugurated the first edition of "ASU Career Week 2022", accompanied by Prof. Dr. Walaa Winter, CEO of the Science and Technology Financing Authority, representing the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Heba Saleh, Head of the Information Technology Institute, representing the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Eng. Ayman Qatamish, Head of the Central Administration for Vocational Training, representing the Minister of Manpower, and Dr. Ayman Farid, director of the Career center at the university.
Also witnessed the launch of the activities, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr.a Ghada Farouk, Acting as Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr.. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, and Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, Executive Director of the Alumni Associations Department at the university, in addition to a group of deans of faculties, deans, faculty members and company representatives.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini inspected the exhibition and exchanged conversations with officials of the companies and institutions participating in the forum.
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, explained that the university’s employment forum is held once a year in March, and is held for a week in October, in order to combine the idea of entrepreneurship with employment and skills development, as companies, banks, foreign universities and institutions in various disciplines converge with students and graduates in order to expand the students’ perceptions and qualifying them for the labor market. The forum also facilitates the enrollment of the talented among them to work in local and international companies that employ a group of experts.
He added that the university has 200,000 undergraduate students and about 27,000 graduate students and young researchers, and the participating institutions will provide them with a range of trainings, as well as allow them to get the best employment offers, such as local and international telecom and IT companies.

El-Meteini indicated that agreements and partnerships have been concluded with interested participating institutions to provide places for them in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the university, as was done by the Central Bank and national banks, in order to incubate ideas, participate in accelerators and support startups to develop the idea of entrepreneurship.
Dr. Ayman Farid, Director of the Employment Center, explained that this event aims to facilitate the arrival of talented students and graduates of Ain Shams University to work in local and international companies employing a group of experts, where the participating institutions will provide a set of trainings and jobs, and the events include exchanging conversations, sharing experiences and guiding circles. In addition to training and providing job opportunities, 37 local and international companies participate in the employment week.
It is worth mentioning that the exhibition activities are held under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting as Vice President of the University. for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and will continue over a period of 3 days, starting from today until October 20, from ten in the morning until five in the evening at the headquarters of the ASU Career Center, inside the university city in Abbasiya. Obtaining distinguished training and employment opportunities. The number of students and graduates participating during the first hours of the event reached more than 1,100 students and graduates.
