Ain Shams University's comprehensive development convoy for the Red Sea Governorate continued its work to serve the people of the cities of Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad in the Red Sea Governorate, within the framework of the presidential initiative, a decent life, and under the auspices of Major General A. h. Dr. Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Southern Military Region.
During the second day of the convoy, the number of beneficiaries of the free medical service reached 1899 citizens, who were medically examined in the orthopedic clinics, cardiology, chest, internal medicine, endoscopy, urology, pediatrics, general surgery, dental, ophthalmology, brain and nerves, ear, nose and throat diseases clinic. Psychological and neurological at the headquarters of the health unit in Halayeb and the Shalateen Central Hospital, in addition to conducting medical analyzes and dispensing medicines free of charge to 1,800 beneficiaries of the Caravan pharmacy, as well as transferring 65 cases to receive treatment at Ain Shams University hospitals in Cairo for free, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Osama Mansour, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
Under the general supervision of Prof. Dr. Hala Suwaid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Tarek Youssef, Deputy Executive Director of University Hospitals, Ain Shams University.
During his inspection tour of the work of the second day of the convoy, reassure a. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the supervisor of the convoy, to implement all preventive and precautionary measures to prevent the Corona virus.
It also inspected the work of literacy and adult education classes in coordination with the General Authority for Adult Education, where the Department of Adult Education in Shalateen conducted a placement test for six students.
The convoy also included organizing a number of awareness campaigns for the international lecturer and trainer, Dr. Tarek Abdel-Fattah on autumn and winter diseases, methods of prevention, bullying, social responsibility, the program of the art of dealing with patients, and another campaign on drug abuse, its causes and effects, methods of prevention and treatment. About 200 citizens of different groups and ages benefited from these awareness campaigns.
It is scheduled to continue the work of the seventh convoy launched by Ain Shams University to serve the people of the cities of Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad, until today, Thursday, October 20, as part of a series of comprehensive development convoys organized by the university for the governorates of the Republic within the framework of the presidential initiative, a decent life, and to achieve the goals of sustainable development and the vision of Egypt 2030.
