Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, inaugurated the university’s celebration of the 49th anniversary of the glorious October victories, as well as the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday, as part of a series of activities commemorating the glorious October victories organized by the Education and Student Affairs Sector, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education and Prof. Dr. Walaa Anis, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kadry, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hala Suwaid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Rana Al-Helali, director of the center for people with disabilities at the university, Colonel Ahmed Nagm, director of the military education department at the university, and a group of university professors and students.
The artistic ceremony was held at Talaat Harb Theater at the Faculty of Specific Education to celebrate the birth of "OAN choir" led by Maestro Mahmoud Saber.
During his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud indicated that the university’s celebration of the glorious October victories this year was special, as the university began the celebration with the participation of the Spirit of the East choir in the main paragraph of the celebration of the armed forces in front of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Al-Manara Hall, then followed by participating in the celebration of the Military Cultures Authority and the Faculty of Commanders And the pillars of a plastic arts exhibition, a “Coral On” concert, a presentation of the folk arts team, and the “Harmony Arabi” choir participated in the celebration of the Judges Club.
Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Sauod expressed his happiness with the launch of “Coral On”, which was born great, as his birthday was with a wonderful artistic ceremony during the university’s participation in the celebration organized by the Military Culture Authority and the College of Command and Staff on the occasion of the anniversary of the great October victory, praising the beautiful sports spirit and cooperation between the various choirs of the university, where The ceremony witnessed interaction and support from the "Rouh Al-Sharq" choir and the "Arab Harmony" choir, "Coral On" Al-Waleed. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saud referred to the philosophy of the education and student affairs sector, which has proven its success and yielded fruits.
He added that the university will stand firmly next to the newborn choir "OAN Choir" until it achieves the fame and prestige achieved by the Spirit of the East choir, Harmony choir and others on the artistic scene and in all important circles and forums locally and internationally.
Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud added that the diversity witnessed by the five university choirs, if indicated by anything, indicates the greatness of Ain Shams University, which received a five-star rating out of five in the QS World Stars Rating, stressing that the university is rich with diverse talents in various artistic, sports and scientific fields that it dedicates to the homeland. Where "OAN Choir" lit the party with a number of patriotic, religious and tarab songs, beginning the ceremony with a religious medley that mixed a number of religious songs and chants in praise of our Master Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and then followed that with a medley of a number of distinctive patriotic songs.
The audience also enjoyed a number of solo songs sung by talented students with diverse and distinctive voices.
Maestro Mahmoud Saber concluded the ceremony with a patriotic medley that mixed the songs “Egypt That in My Mind”, then the song “Ada Al-Nahar”, “Come Ya Masri”, “Voice of My Country” and “Live Who Said”. The choir sang this song with creativity and craftsmanship amid a great interaction from All attendees.
The ceremony also witnessed a great diversity between the distinguished performances of the folk arts team of Ain Shams University, which included the Tanoura show and the Henna Date Tableau, a presentation of a mixture of songs of praise of the Prophet and Christian hymns, then a presentation of Saidi dance with the stick and the Nubian dance. The girl Radwa of the People of Determination starred in dancing in the skirt, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs for Student Activities and Mrs. Reham Al-Otifi, Acting Secretary of the Education and Student Affairs Sector, and Mr. Muhammad Al-Sharqawi, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, and Mr. Mustafa Essa, Director General of the Technical Activity Department, and Mrs. Hind Hamed, Head of the Performing Arts Department and Folklore Team, designed and directed by Prof. Hassan Shehata and training Mr. Hossam Al-Mansi and the supervision of Mr. Ahmed Adel.
