Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, under the supervision of Mrs. Reham Al-Oteifi, Acting Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and at the kind invitation of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, a student delegation from Ain Shams University participated in the opening activities of the trading session that took place at the headquarters of the Egyptian Stock Exchange. The Egyptian Stock Exchange in cooperation with the World Federation WFE and the International Organization of Financial Supervisory Authorities IOSCO.
The stock exchange bell was rung at ten in the morning, marking the participation in the celebration of the World Investor Week, in the presence of Mr. Ramy El-Dakany, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, Dr. Mohamed Farid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Financial Supervisory Authority and their deputies, a number of Egyptian university presidents and representatives of professional associations.
During the celebration, the importance of localizing financial culture and spreading the culture of financial inclusion among the various segments of society, especially young people and university and school students, was emphasized, as this would reflect on improving the quality of life, raising the standard of living of the individual, achieving an economic renaissance and accelerating the pace of development within society.
Ain Shams University students participating in the celebration expressed their pride in participating in this important global event, stressing that spreading financial awareness and realizing the importance of investment and savings have become indispensable requirements in contemporary societies.
It is noteworthy that the student delegation of Ain Shams University included 30 students, among the first and outstanding students from the various faculties of the university.
