Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, Dr. Nasser Abdel Aal, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Marwa Abdel Moneim Tantawy, Head of the Italian Language Department Board at the faculty, the Italian Language Department at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, organized an introductory meeting for first-year students for the semester new students admitted to the Bachelor of Al-Alsun program in Italian Language and Literature.
Prof. Dr. Marwa Abdel Moneim Tantawy, received the President of the Board of the Italian Department of New Students.
She also pointed out the importance of studying the Italian language and the joint relations between Egypt and Italy, and pointed out the importance of attendance, and that she pursues the open door policy of her office not only through her presence in her office, but also through the presence of the department's professors during student counseling hours as well.
Prof. Dr. Emad Al-Baghdadi, a full-time professor of linguistics in the department and former head of the department’s scientific council, expressed the necessity of the student’s interest in the Arabic language to prepare a graduate who is capable of translating from and into Arabic. To the importance of working on developing self-learning skills in language learning and translation.
Dr. Nadine Makram, lecturer of Italian literature in the department and coordinator of the Bachelor's Program explained the history of the faculty, the department, the courses offered by the Bachelor of Al-Alsun program in Italian language and literature, and the importance of each course in shaping the student's culture in the field of humanities and preparing a qualified graduate to work in various fields such as translation and teaching, in addition to completing postgraduate studies. She also pointed out the importance of the quality of education, the standards to be achieved, the specifications of the graduate, intellectual property, and the importance of students' participation in the development of the program by expressing their opinion.
Her Excellency also explained the importance of students' awareness of their presence on the campus and the importance of restoring its beautiful and elegant meaning that achieves respect between the student and the university professor and respect between the student and his colleague, and the need to restore commitment to all the moral meanings that characterize this place.
Dr. Basma Ezzat, teacher of Italian literature in the department, and student counseling coordinator, talked about the role of the student advisor, the way the student benefits from office hours, the efforts made by the department to provide courses for blind students, the method of entering the faculty platform, the method of activating the e-mail and introducing them to the faculty library, study system and schedule.
Dr. Thamar Mustafa, teacher of linguistics and translation in the department and head of the student standard, was keen to explain the role that the university plays in terms of solidarity to support students financially and ways to obtain it for those who deserve it. The students also got acquainted with some of the teaching staff in the first year and the department.
Dr. Islam Fawzi, the assistant teacher in the department, spoke about the importance of field training and the requirements that the student must undertake to finish the field training file, the places that provide training opportunities for the department’s students, and the student’s role in the national literacy project in which the faculty participates and its importance.
