In a special artistic night and an atmosphere of charming positive energy, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, witnessed the first artistic ceremony of the Western University choir, which was organized by the Education and Student Affairs Sector within the activities of the reception festival for the new academic year 2022/2023, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education and Prof. Dr. Taya Abdel Latif, advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for student activities, and Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs for Student Activities and a. Dr.. Karim Hammam, Director of the Institute for Leadership Development and Prof. Dr. Walaa Anis, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kadry, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Farag, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, director of alumni associations at Ain Shams University, and a group of faculty members, the supporting staff and the public from inside and outside the university.
During the ceremony, the western choir of Ain Shams University, led by Dr. Samah Ezz Al-Arab, toured the audience from Western singing in all its forms to Indian arts and duets of Spanish singing, then to the African spirit and the Arabian Gulf, to the embrace of the homeland with a sweet song, Oh My Country, for the late Dalida, to bring back the students of Ain Shams University spirit The youth of the ancient and historical Talaat Harb Theater, whose stage witnessed the concerts of the greats of Arab art, such as the lady of Arab singing, Umm Kulthum, and the musician of generations, Mohamed Abdel Wahab.
In his speech, A. Dr.. Abdel-Fattah Saud, to the members of the choir team and the audience present, confirmed that the Western University choir entered the racetrack with the famous bouquet of Ain Shams University choirs, which is the choir of the Spirit of the East, and on the way an Arab harmonic choir.
His Excellency praised the outstanding level of students, which was the fruits of the support of the university, the education sector and students for these talented young people who deservedly deserved full support, stressing that the university will not spare its talented children in overcoming all difficulties and providing them with all aspects of support.
He pointed out that the experience of Ain Shams University proved its success, and that the philosophy adopted by the education sector and students' years ago bore fruit. The energies of the Egyptian youth, when they received support, shimmered and shimmered like eternal jewels.
He added that the university will stand firmly next to the newborn choir, as well as the Arab Harmony Choir, in order to achieve the fame and prestige achieved by the Spirit of the East choir on the artistic scene and in all important circles and forums locally and internationally.
Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud said that the diversity witnessed by the ceremony of Western singing, guitar playing and Arab heritage singing in a modern way, if it indicates anything, it indicates the greatness of Ain Shams University and that it is full of diverse talents to gift it to the dear homeland and that Ain Shams University is the biggest winner from discovering and refining the talents of its children.
The ceremony included a distinguished performance by Coral Harmony, led by Maestro Mahmoud Waheed, who presented a new distinguished and creative group of heritage songs with a new color and modern spirit, from the vision and distribution of Prof. Ahmed Salem, it included an Ekabla for the song Yamama Beida and a new distribution for the song He and She and a distinguished medley that mixes songs of Iraqi, Turkish, Egyptian, Saidi and Nubian heritage
In addition to a number of wonderful solo songs amid wide acclaim and interaction from the audience.
The ceremony also included a performance for guitars "Los Geptanos" led by Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahman and Dr. Marwa Abdel Moneim, who excelled in presenting a distinguished and modern artistic spirit to the hearts and minds of the audience.
During the ceremony, the Ain Shams University choir presented a song entitled Climate, which Ain Shams University gifted to Egypt before the start of the COP27 Conference of States Parties.
This ceremony included honoring Prof. Dr. Abdul-Fattah Saoud for the university students who won the Excellence Competition organized by the Institute for Leadership Development, where he presented them with certificates of appreciation and financial rewards.
