The call of Ain Shams University to participate in the university's celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, acting vice president for community service and environmental development, in cooperation with the Arabic Language Academy and the Supreme Council of Culture; Ain Shams University is organizing the celebration of Ain Shams University for the International Day of the Arabic Language, in cooperation with many local and international cultural bodies, and with the participation of a distinguished elite of poets, writers and artists, On Thursday, December 22, 2022.

Ain Shams University calls to participate in literary production in any of the following fields: classical poetry - colloquial poetry - lyrics - poetry recitation - short story - article writing - script and dialogue - novel - playwriting, in addition to the field of caricature dedicated to ridiculing the Frankish phenomenon (the use of languages foreign language with Arabic).

The celebration aims at the participation of the university’s faculty staff, the teaching assistants, the university’s employees, all university students (postgraduate studies – bachelor’s), the international students, and children of faculty staff under the age of 14, provided that their participation is limited to the field of reciting or writing poetry (formal, colloquial), and the field of short story writing.

Ain Shams University also announces that evaluating the works submitted for each category of applicants independently; The category of faculty staff and the teaching assistants, the university employee category, and the university students category, taking into account the difference in age, experiences, and specializations. All submitted works are judged and reviewed by specialized arbitration committees from inside and outside the university. The distinguished works of each category will be honored during the celebration, and valuable financial prizes will be presented to the winners.
