The Community Service Sector in the Faculty of ‎ Education honors the winners of the competition for the best department/center for community service

Under the auspices of Prof‎. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the Faculty ‎of Education, organized the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Din Abdel Halim, Vice Dean of Community Service and Environmental Development, a celebration to honor the winners of the best department competition At the level of the scientific, literary and educational departments of the faculty, as well as the best center at the faculty level in the field of community service and environmental development for the year 2021-2022.

The celebration was opened with a speech by the Dean of the Faculty, in which he pointed out the importance of this type of competition in stimulating and revitalizing community and environmental work and increasing positive competition to reach excellence.

The Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs and Community Service explained the role of this competition to motivate departments and centers in this pivotal field. He thanked Prof. Dr. Dean of the Faculty, who established this competition, and thanked Prof. Dr. Radwan Hammouda, the former Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development for his outstanding efforts in the general supervision of all activities during his tenure; the winning departments were honored as well as the committee members from those departments.

The competition has been announced and a sufficient period of time has been set for all departments and centers to present all their activities during the year 2021-2022, and a jury has been formed that includes members from the scientific, literary and educational departments, many departments have appeared at a distinguished level in the quality, number and diversity of the activities provided, and the excellence of the teaching staff in charge of them and their gradation throughout the academic year.

The departments of Chemistry, Physics, Biological and Geological Sciences were honored at the level of the scientific departments, as well as the departments of Arabic, Philosophy, Sociology and the English Language Department at the level of the literary departments, as well as the Departments of Principles of Education, Curricula and Teaching Methods at the level of educational departments, as well as the Psychological Counseling Center were honored in the faculty, the honorable members of the jury were also honored for their great effort in judging the competition.

Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Din Abdel Halim, Vice Dean of Community Service and Environmental Development, explained the noticeable increase in the demand of departments and centers to apply for the competition, which illustrates the main role of the faculty departments and centers in community service and environmental development.

At the end of the ceremony, many memorial photos were taken of the winners of the competition, and at the end of the ceremony, everyone thanked the efforts of the faculty and the university's support in continuing excellence and working for community service and environmental development to be able to lead this important field at Ain Shams University.
