The start of the summer semester exams for the pre-Licentiate stage and the preparatory year for the master's degree in Ain Shams

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University and the Vice Dean of Education and Student Affairs, announced the start of the summer semester exams today, Sunday, September 4, 2022, which will last until 27 of the same month, as well as the start of the preparatory year exams for the master’s for postgraduate students on the old system, which lasts until On the 20th of this month for the Media Department, while the exams for the Tourist Guidance Department end on the 15th of the same month.

Emphasizing that the necessary precautions are taken to avoid the spread of the new Corona virus, and students of the departments that operate on the credit-hour system and who have completed attending the summer semester lectures are tested over a month.

   
   

She also confirmed that the examination progress is monitored in real time, in addition to providing all means of comfort and a calm atmosphere for students and observers, in order to preserve public health and safety.

Kamel also added that the exams are held in 4 periods from 9 am to 4 pm daily from Saturday to Thursday, and the exams are objective and vary between multiple choice and essay questions, and are corrected electronically on the same day through the unit of measurement and evaluation for the speed of announcing the results of students, plastic boxes are also used not to touch papers to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, in addition to announcing students daily about the locations of their committees through the official page of the faculty.

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Shereen Mazloum, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies Affairs, stated that an Amphitheater (A) has been allocated to examination committees, taking into account that half of its capacity is filled by graduate students (pre-master’s old system) who are students of the Departments of Communication Sciences, Media and Tourist Guidance.

Mazloum indicated that the exams are held over one period from 10 in the morning until 12 in the afternoon, on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, taking into account the precautionary measures and the element of distancing.
