The Faculty of Archeology announces the opening of admission to several interdisciplinary programs

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawy, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Archeology and its Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University announced the opening of admission to a new interdisciplinary program Between the faculties of archeology and engineering, another program between the college and the faculty of computers and information, and a third program between the faculties of archeology and science.

Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawy, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Archeology and its Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, explained that the new programs are being studied for the first time in Egypt and the Arab region, noting that the program between the Faculties of Archeology and Engineering meets the needs of Egypt and the Arab region in this specialization, and aims to build cadres worthy to work in The protection, maintenance and repair of structures and architectural vocabulary with distinct historical, cultural or visual characteristics. The study plan is based on the credit-hour system with a total of 144 hours distributed over four academic years for 8 levels.

He added: As for the program between the faculties of Archeology, Computers and Information, it aims to graduate specialized and highly qualified cadres in archaeological information systems capable of using modern technology and its applications in various fields of archeology. Regarding the program between the faculties of Archeology and Science, Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawi, acting Dean of the Faculty of Archeology and its Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, explained that it aims to graduate specialized and highly qualified cadres in the multidisciplinary field of biological archeology that combines anthropological theory and methods of social and natural sciences by studying biomolecules. The study plan is based on the credit-hour system, with a total of 144 hours distributed over four academic years for 8 levels.
