Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, held instant literacy exams for all faculties participating in supporting the national project to eradicate illiteracy at Ain Shams University.
The examinations were conducted at the headquarters of the Faculty of Education under the supervision, guidance and follow-up of Prof. Dr. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the Faculty, as Suhaib Tolba, Director of the Unit for Supporting the National Literacy Project at the Faculty of Education, supervised the conduct of the examinations, under the guidance and general supervision of the Adult Education Center at Ain Shams University through the Director of the Center, Dr. Islam Al-Saeed and Dr. Rasha Abdel Salam, Director of the National Literacy Project Support Unit at the Faculty of Specific Education, and in coordination with The General Authority for Adult Education and Literacy, represented by the Director of the Cairo Branch, Mrs. Nourhan Ahmed.
The faculty has been keen to continue holding these exams periodically on Sunday and Wednesday of each week in order to provide opportunities for students to complete the numbers required of them, and last week an exam was held for 93 illiterates.
