As part of the celebrations of the Faculty of Agriculture in the Diamond Jubilee, The Faculty administration organized a "Meeting of memories" which included a group of pioneers of the Faculty of Agriculture and its professors who witnessed the emergence of the faculty and its development since its establishment. The headquarters of the faculty was Shebin Al Koum were then relocated to Saraya Al Kubba and then the current headquarters of Shubra. They remembered the memories of all the headquarters and efforts of professors in the development and graduation of pioneers of agriculture in the Arab world. This came in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty and the deans of the faculty and a group of professors.
After the meeting, a seminar on violence against the family was held to discuss the role of women in society. Prof. Dr. Amani Abdel-Fattah Consultant Forensic Medicine and Clinical Toxicology in Al-Qasr Al-Aini specialized in cases of domestic violence presented the seminar.
The seminar dealt with the various forms of violence in the family and their negative effects on the society, which included violence against the husband or wife against the husband or the violence of the parents against the children and its negative consequences on the family and society, including street children and the spread of harassment.
Prof. Dr. Amani Abdul Fattah pointed to the high rate of divorce in Egypt and its consequences on society from the escape of children to the street and make them prey easy to polarize in criminal acts and injury to the community of many epidemics that prevent the progress. A large audience attended the seminar.
