The Faculty of Al-Alsun Council honors Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development

Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, inaugurated the activities of the Faculty of Al-Alsun Council, in the presence of His Excellency the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Al-Orabi, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Ayman Salama, member of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, and the vice deans and heads of the various scientific departments.

During his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, said that since December 2020 until today, the Faculty of Al-Alsun has made many achievements on the ground. He studied and developed electronic halls according to the latest international systems, stressing that these halls are a model at the level of Egyptian universities.

He continued, confirming that the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, expressed his fascination with the Faculty’s electronic halls, explaining that the fruits of these developments came quickly with the holding of the IELTS test for the British Council in Cairo.

He commended the efforts of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, the owner of the bold management, which created an educational boom at the level of Ain Shams University in various fields to develop the educational process according to the latest international methods.

He stressed that Ain Shams University has 19 Faculties that we are working on developing, and the Faculty of Al-Alsun was headed by Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, who has remarkable activity and insistence on obtaining financial support to implement her plan for the development of the Faculty’s resources on an ongoing basis. An electric generator to meet the needs of the Faculty, in addition to developing the Faculty garage and establishing advanced electronic halls and modern classrooms to create distinguished educational programs that adopt innovative methods to meet the needs of the labor market.

He continued, pointing out that the university is in the process of establishing the Faculty of Information early next year, and the university is also working on the establishment of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and the university witnessed the establishment of the Faculty of Archeology.

         
   
         

He stressed that these achievements were for the community service and environmental development sector to work in its files, and these achievements came in conjunction with the Corona pandemic and the implementation of a proactive plan to confront the repercussions of the emerging Corona virus and its variables, which represents a great challenge. Ain Shams University was one of the Egyptian state institutions that was able to manage all its files with utmost precision and under pressure to achieve unprecedented achievements in the history of Ain Shams University.

During her speech, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that the community service and environmental development sector is one of the most important sectors of the university, and during a difficult period, a professor took over the reins of its administration. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, is an experienced surgeon in academic and administrative work, who made a breakthrough in the various sectors of the university, as Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, a huge file during which he made great achievements, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, the internationalization file of scientific research, and remarkable progress has been made for the university’s international classification, and she praised the efforts of Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, to achieve remarkable achievements during his tenure in the sector, which contributed to creating a qualitative leap at the level of university faculties, and his international and regional successes through participation in international forums and global competitions and obtaining advanced positions in various fields of the sector. She also praised his efforts to achieve the maximum possible benefit from the implementation of the Egyptian state’s plan to eradicate illiteracy, and this came through using all available resources and managing them in a distinguished manner to achieve goals, and stressed that public work requires abandoning multiple aspects in personal life and dedicating life goals to achieving successes. society in line with Egypt's 2030 strategy for sustainable development.

During her speech, Prof. Dr. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, said that the community service and environmental development sector in the Faculty witnessed a remarkable development in its strategy, which was directed to cooperation with various sectors and departments of the university and to achieve maximum benefit, as the Faculty of Al-Alsun participated in the medical convoys of the university and achieved unprecedented success in connecting convoys, in addition to the medical literacy process, where the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University was able to eradicate the illiteracy of six thousand citizens in only two years, the Faculty was also able to contribute to the operations of feeding and clothing, in addition to maintenance and development work, so that the environment sector became not dependent on the activation of cultural seasons only, Rather, his work extended to include all areas of community work inside and outside the university walls.

In conclusion, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, presented a commemorative shield to Prof. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, in appreciation of his pioneering contributions to the history of Ain Shams University.
