The Faculty of Al-Alsun announces the opening of admission to postgraduate programs 2022/2023

Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, announced the beginning of admission to graduate studies programs in the faculty for the academic year 2022-2023 from 1/8/2022 to 31/8/2022, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs.

She explained that the door for admission will be opened for a number of diplomas, including a postgraduate diploma in language, literature and translation, a diploma in written and simultaneous translation in the departments of English, French and Chinese, a diploma in translation technology in the English and French departments, a doctorate of tongues in the disciplines of language, literature and translation, and exams are scheduled to be held. Admission during the period from 3 to 6 September 2022.

Dr. Salwa explained that the translation technology program, which was activated last year, is one of the newly developed programs in order to keep pace with the requirements of the labor market and to be familiar with modern technology related to translation activities. It is one of the most popular programs among students.

On his part, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, indicated that the translation technology program will be activated next year in the French Department to combine the student’s translation skills with computer applications. He stressed that the graduate programs aim to deepen and refine students’ knowledge and skills in various disciplines, which include language, literature and translation.
