Today Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research, honored the team of the Faculty of Science that achieved third place at the level of distinguished development projects and participation in the Youth Initiative for Development.
In the presence of Prof. Dr. Hayam Hassan Wahba, General Coordinator of the Initiative and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Muntaser, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science for Graduate Studies and Research.
This came as a continuation of the honoring of the leadership of Ain Shams University for the heads and members of the 15 teams participating in the Youth for Development initiative from the university's faculties.
It is worth noting that during the semi-final competition hosted by the Faculty of Business at the end of May 2022, 6 distinguished projects were selected to be sent to the Supreme Council of Universities to compete in the final competition, divided into 3 development projects under the titles “The Role of Information and Communication Technology in Confronting Violence against Women” from the Faculty of Business, Which targets the “economic and social empowerment of women” axis, the “Qaderoon” project from the Faculty of Medicine, where innovation is to improve public service, and the Faculty of Science’s project “Bio-monitoring of the pollution of the Nile River in Rosetta Branch” with heavy metals (using Nile tilapia) and targets the axis of environmentally friendly projects.
In addition to 3 policy papers targeting the axis of public service improvement under the titles "The Green Ribbon from Separation to Urban Connectivity: Designing Sustainable Ribbon Parks" from the Faculty of Engineering and two papers from the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences entitled "Automated Remote Control of Solar Panels" and "Wheelchair Control" through eye movement.
