Ain Shams University Council honors a number of university leaders and winners of state awards

The Council of Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, honored a number of university leaders on the occasion of reaching the legal age, in its session held on Monday, June 27, 2022, in the Faculty of Agriculture, where Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Development Affairs, was honored. Environment, Prof. Dr. Mostafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development.

         
   
         

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President of the University for Education and Students, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ayman Saleh, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, former Minister of Health and Population and Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, the former president of Ain Shams University, and the deans of the faculties of Ain Shams University.

         
   
         

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, began his speech by thanking the Faculty of Agriculture, led by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty, for hosting the council, and he valued the efforts made by the university’s leaders during their tenure of the position, wishing them more successes in their scientific career, stressing that the university will continue to benefit from their experiences.

         
     
         

He also thanked Prof. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, for the effort he exerted throughout the period of his responsibility in the community service and environmental development sector, stressing that he did not skimp on effort and time and was always preoccupied with the development of the sector and continuous follow-up and left an imprint

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, expressed his happiness to work in the university’s management system, and thanked all university leaders for their efforts to raise the name of Ain Shams University.

Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, thanked Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz and what distinguished him from the discipline and abundant effort in work and the continuity of giving.

On his part, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz expressed his happiness with the work and fruitful cooperation between the administration of Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, who spares no effort to make Ain Shams University the first in the Middle East, praising his role in overcoming the difficulties and challenges facing the sector.

Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, praised the harmony between the three sectors of the university (education and students - postgraduate studies and research - community service and environmental development), which allows the highest degree of integration between sectors.

During the council, university professors who received the State Prize from the Supreme Council of Culture were honored. They are Prof. Dr. Said Ismail Ali, full-time professor at the Faculty of Education and recipient of the State Appreciation Award in Social Sciences, and Prof. Dr. Youssef Hassan Nofal, Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Girls and recipient of the State Appreciation Prize in Arts. and Dr. Rasha Adel Abdel Aziz, assistant professor at the Faculty of Girls, recipient of the State Incentive Award in the field of Education and Psychology.

The council also honored Dr. Nahla Salah Mansour, a teacher at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, for receiving the State Encouragement Award in the field of literature, and Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Abdel Hafez, a teacher at the Faculty of Arts, for receiving the State Encouragement Award in Social Sciences.
