"A Day of Creativity" Graduation Projects of the Media Department, Faculty of Specific Education, Ain Shams University, at Talaat Harb Theatre

The Department of Educational Media at the Faculty of Specific Education, Ain Shams University, organized “A Day of Creativity” activities within the framework of graduation projects for students of the fourth year of the department in its two divisions (press, radio and television - theatrical arts), under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Laila Anis, Vice Dean of Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Amr Khalil, Vice Dean of Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Amani Hanafi, former dean of the faculty, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nabil Ahmed, head of the department, Dr. Nagy Shehabi, head of the Democratic Generation Party and member of the Legislative and Constitutional Committee of the Shura Council, Dr. Sarah Al-Daqn is the granddaughter of the actor Tawfiq Al-Daqn, the scriptwriter Atef Bishai, the faculty staff, and the assistant staff in the department.

         
   
         

Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz in his speech welcomed the attendees, expressing his pride in all the department's accomplishments, such as publishing the Bedaya newspaper again and opening the photography exhibition, as well as the redevelopment of the Talaat Harb Pasha Theater, on which the faculty students' graduation projects are being held today, pointing out that this theater is not just a theater For Talaat Harb, it was a studio and a cinema hall where several films were shown, where Umm Kulthum sang about it.

Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz Demands the dean of the faculty to exploit this edifice and invest it during the vacation period for the benefit of the students by inviting all external institutions in all the faculty specializations, and to highlight the students’ talents and projects, in line with the university’s direction in providing and creating job opportunities for its graduates and making them more in line with the labor market.

Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Sayed price in his speech the efforts made by Prof. Dr. Amani Hanafi, the former dean of the faculty and the previous and current university administration for the redevelopment of this great theater, which witnesses the presentation of the combined graduation projects of the Department of Media, then the Department of Art, Music Education, and all the student activities that will be held in the faculty on this stage.

         
   
         

as Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nabil, Head of the Educational Media Department, explained that the graduation projects included various presentations of students' work in the fields of paper journalism, documentary films, animation films, dubbing arts, advertising campaigns, social media, photography, shadow theater, and puppet theatre.

He added that these projects are the first steps of practical and professional life, so the department is keen to celebrate and support its students intellectually, educationally and guidingly through a presentation of the arts of press, visual and theatrical media production.

After the speeches, the students' graduation projects were shown, which varied between several shows and documentaries, such as "Biban", "Calcite" and "You are not alone", a cartoon film entitled "Hope", and two theatrical performances entitled ("Rabbit Extraordinary" and "Abu Rawash" "Imagination of a Shadow"). The dubbing of "The Struggle of Feelings", an advertising campaign entitled "The Color of Your Life", an explanatory video for "Bedaya" newspaper, the theatrical performance entitled "Shadow's Shadow", and finally a graduation song entitled "The Beginning of the Story" was shown.

On the sidelines of the day, Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz inaugurated a photography exhibition for the media department entitled "See it with my eyes", honoring him, and honoring everyone who participated in a journalistic dialogue from the audience in Bedaya newspaper, which was reissued in its tenth dress this year after its hiatus since 2009 headed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nabil, Head of the Department, Dr. Neamat Issa, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, and Mrs. Olfat Ashraf, the newspaper's technical coordinator.
