Director of the Center of Global Health and Social Responsibility at the University of Minnesota, USA, on a visit to the Faculty of Medicine

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, received Prof. Dr. Shailey Prasad, Professor of Family Medicine and Director of the Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility at the University of Minnesota, USA, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Osama Mansour, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Shahira Samira, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Heba Allah Saeed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Tamer Emara, Professor of Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine and Director of the Office of International Relations and International Cooperation at the Faculty, Prof. Dr.. Sherweit Al-Ahmadi, Director of the International Students Department at the university, Dr. Noha Al-Rafea, Deputy Director of the Grants and Projects Department at the university and the Coordinator of the Child University, and a group of faculty members and Faculty students.

The visit comes in response to the visit of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Sahar Yassin, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Tamer Emara, Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the International Relations Office in March 2022 of the Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini referred to the efforts of Ain Shams University in supporting health services in the neediest and remote areas, and this was linked to a decent life project under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Omar supervised the efforts of Ain Shams University in developing health services in Africa, pointing out that there is future cooperation between Ain Shams University, the University of Minnesota and another university in Africa.

Prof. Dr. Shailey Prasad visited the skills lab, the electronic studio, the electronic examination rooms at the Faculty of Medicine, the research lab and the electronic hospital at Ain Shams University Hospitals.

Prof. Dr. Shailey Prasad, gave a lecturer at El-Mahlawy auditorium, and talked about global health and its effects on developing cooperation between academic institutions in various countries of the world, and it is scheduled to visit the electronic hospital.
